How to read this record
Every claim is tagged
Most family trees flatten everything into the same confident typeface. This one does not. The three research tags below are the whole point of the exercise: they say what a document proves, what the weight of evidence suggests, and what nobody has found yet. A fourth marks what the family stated directly, where no document has been retrieved at all — it is kept separate on purpose and is never quietly promoted to confirmed. A fifth, added on 13 September 2026, marks biological evidence: a DNA result is not a document, and it is not testimony either. Two further labels mark where this page withholds information rather than lacking it.
Attested by a document that was actually retrieved and read — a census sheet, a government index, a grave marker, a family-written obituary.
Strongly supported but not nailed down: a user-contributed tree, a masked index field, or a chain of consistent circumstances. Believable, not proven.
Searched for and not located. This is a statement about the search, not about the person — the record may well exist somewhere unsearched.
Supplied by the family and recorded on their word — no document has been retrieved for it. Note the diamond rather than the dot: this is provenance, not proof, and it stands apart from the three record tags above S24.
Biological evidence consistent with a claim. It corroborates origins; it does not by itself establish a person or a link. Note the bar rather than a dot or a diamond: no DNA result on this page is ever counted as confirmed, because no document was read for it S46.
The person is living. On the charts and in the chains of names a living person appears by name and relationship. A living adult’s full record is on their own card, published with the family’s consent and kept out of search engines. A minor appears by name only. The privacy note at the head of the page gives the rule in full.
A branch that is actively being worked on. The node exists in the structure so the shape of the family is honest; the detail is simply not in yet.

The record in detail
Deceased ancestors are given in full — this is ordinary published genealogy drawn from records that are already public. Living adults appear by name and relationship, with the year only — Earl's instruction of 3 October 2026: no full date of birth and no home town on any page that search engines index, and a living person's own page is kept out of search engines. Minors appear by name only: no date of birth, no birth year, no age, no school, no place, no address. A minor may be named and may appear in a family photograph; nothing further about them is published. Where it is not established whether someone is an adult or a minor, the minor rule applies — an unknown age is resolved protectively, not conveniently.

Evidence: The Michelbach an der Heide register of 1627 to 1678, read page by page: he is the unmarried son of the late Hans Bröger of Seibotenberg in 1661 and 1664, and marries as that man's son on 18 May 1669; a Hans was baptised to Hans Bröger there in August 1641, and his burial age on 4 April 1710 counts back to that month. The 1704 Triensbach marriage names him as the groom's father. Weak or missing: The 1641 baptism is undated and names no mother; his first wife's forename is missing from the marriage entry and her surname is a doubtful reading; that his son Johannes, baptised 20 April 1674, is the Hans of Triensbach rests on a burial age that is eleven months out. The later Michelbach baptism, marriage and burial books have not yet been read page by page. Not yet confirmed. Know more? Confirm or correct this →

4 Oct 2026 — baptism of August 1641 and burial of 4 April 1710 entered from the Archion images of the Michelbach register, replacing “where he died is not known”.
8 Oct 2026 — the 1627–1678 register read page by page: his father is the late Hans Bröger (godfather entries of 1661 and 1664, marriage of 1669); Philipp moved from candidate father to younger brother; first marriage, three baptisms and five register entries added; the weak point about the later-hand copy withdrawn.
12 Oct 2026 — the dated notes folded into the standing text; the two candidate-father notes and the burial-search note of 26 September removed from the body.

Evidence: The 1676 Lendsiedel marriage names her as the daughter of Hans Gronbach the younger of Groß-Allmerspann, and Elisabetha's 1678 baptism names her parents Hans Schuster and Maria; a Langenburg baptism of December 1652 records Anna Maria, child of Johannes Gronbach and Eva; all read from the register images. Weak or missing: Her place as Elisabetha's mother rests on single entries; the 1652 child is taken to be the 1676 bride only because the father, hamlet and name match; her burial is not found. Not yet confirmed. Know more? Confirm or correct this →

Evidence: Elisabetha Schuster's 1678 Lendsiedel baptism names her father Hans Schuster of Nieder-Schmerach; the 1676 Lendsiedel marriage and the 1699 Ilshofen remarriage, as a widower of Unter-Schmerach, fit the same man; all read from the register images. Weak or missing: Each is a single register entry, a second Hans Schuster in the hamlet is not ruled out, and his baptism and burial are not found. Not yet confirmed. Know more?
