Open questions what is probable, weak or missing — confirm or correct it

Weak or missing
What is weak or missing: no marriage record has been found; the day of his death is not entered
10 November 1976 and the parents Samuel Springer and Nettie Hertzman appear only in a grave index and an online family tree, which also gives his birthday as 21 January, not 29 January, so none of that is stated as fact here; his First World War draft card names a relative, Nettie Springer, without saying how she was related, so she is not entered as his mother; the 1950 census entry for William and Mildred Springer at Oakland is itself graded Probable on Mildred’s card. The California Death Index or a death certificate would settle the day of his death and his parents. Know more? Use “Add to this record”.

Compiled for the Proeger family

Living adults appear by name and relationship, with the year only: no full date of birth and no home town on any page that search engines index, and a living person’s own page is kept out of search engines. Minors appear by name only — no date of birth, no birth year, no age, no school, no place, no address, no other identifying detail. A minor may be named and may appear in a family photograph; nothing further about them is published. Where it is not established whether someone is an adult or a minor, the minor rule applies.
