  7. S78Robert W. Coffman's Pasadena ISD career — four Texas newspaper articles, all read by eye from the page image. Abilene Reporter-News, 22 Aug 1945, p. 9, "Lieutenant Made School Executive": "…has been elected assistant superintendent of the Pasadena, Texas, Independent school district… was a ward school principal in the Pasadena district before his enlistment… a native of the Potosi community in Taylor county and attended Abilene Christian college." · Abilene Reporter-News, 29 Jul 1951, p. 38 (his parents' golden wedding): "Robert W. Coffman is assistant superintendent of the Pasadena Schools and is also a minister in the church." · The Baytown Sun, 17 Feb 1956, p. 11: "Robert W. Coffman, business manager for the Pasadena Independent School district…" · The Baytown Sun, 31 Aug 1961, p. 2: "Two top candidates for the job are deputy superintendents, Robert W. Coffman and George A. Thompson." The 1945 article is what makes the identification safe — full name with middle initial, the district, the prior post inside that same district, birthplace Potosi in Taylor County, and Abilene Christian, five axes on one page. The 1951 story names him among J. D. and Lydia Bowles Coffman's seven children and gives his Pasadena title in the same sentence, so the administrator and the Potosi son are the same man on the face of one document. No article found places him in the top job; whether he got the acting-superintendent post after August 1961 is still open.
  8. S384The 1927 Prickly Pear, Abilene Christian College yearbook, p. 53. Ancestry record 200467511. Image examined, read 24 September 2026. Confirmed “Robert Coffman, Potosi”, with his portrait. The portrait is placed by the page layout (bottom row, far right), not by comparing faces. The page gives no class year.

Compiled for the Proeger family

Living adults appear by name and relationship, with the year only: no full date of birth and no home town on any page that search engines index, and a living person’s own page is kept out of search engines. Minors appear by name only — no date of birth, no birth year, no age, no school, no place, no address, no other identifying detail. A minor may be named and may appear in a family photograph; nothing further about them is published. Where it is not established whether someone is an adult or a minor, the minor rule applies.
