Open questions what is probable, weak or missing — confirm or correct it

Probable
Probable confirm or correct → Her married name. She was probably Mrs. Dean Heaton of Leland, Mississippi. Evidence: her father’s 1936 obituary names his daughters only by their husbands S1641, and the 1940 census has Dean Heaton, also indexed as Hebron, with a wife Marion, 41, at Leland S1647. What is weak or missing: the 1940 census was read from the index and gives no wife’s maiden name; no marriage record has been found; the obituaries print the name as “Hebron”, taken here as a misreading of Heaton; Marion Heaton’s birthplace was not read. A marriage record would settle it. Know more? Use “Add to this record”.

What else is missing: her death has not been found and none is entered. Any children are not named here.

Compiled for the Proeger family

Living adults appear by name and relationship, with the year only: no full date of birth and no home town on any page that search engines index, and a living person’s own page is kept out of search engines. Minors appear by name only — no date of birth, no birth year, no age, no school, no place, no address, no other identifying detail. A minor may be named and may appear in a family photograph; nothing further about them is published. Where it is not established whether someone is an adult or a minor, the minor rule applies.
