Research status

Research status: PROBABLE as a daughter of Dee Carl Coffman and Minnie Mae Schultz Coffman. The evidence is strong: the index of her Texas birth certificate names both parents and gives her birth at Abilene on 17 September 1920 S1738; the census pages of 1930 and 1940, read from the images, show two daughters with Minnie Mae at 426 Elm, Abilene, though their names were not copied from the pages S1220S1221. It stays Probable because the certificate itself has not been read, only its index, and her name has not been read on any image.

Evidence: The index of her Texas birth certificate names her parents as Dee Carl Coffman and Minnie Mae Schultz and gives her birth at Abilene on 17 September 1920; the Social Security Death Index and the Find a Grave index give her death on 19 May 2013 (S1738); the census pages of 1930 and 1940, read from the images, show two daughters with Minnie Mae at 426 Elm (S1220, S1221). The evidence is strong. Weak or missing: The certificate itself has not been read, only its index, and her name has not been read on any image; no place of death is known; the marriage index shows no date. Compiled for the Proeger family

Living adults appear by name and relationship, with the year only: no full date of birth and no home town on any page that search engines index, and a living person’s own page is kept out of search engines. Minors appear by name only — no date of birth, no birth year, no age, no school, no place, no address, no other identifying detail. A minor may be named and may appear in a family photograph; nothing further about them is published. Where it is not established whether someone is an adult or a minor, the minor rule applies.
