Research status

Research status: PROBABLE son of Julius Franz Kretschmar, the “Charley of Creedmoor” of his father’s obituary. Evidence: the index of Texas death certificate 49198 gives his father as Frank Kretchmar and a home in Austin S1646; Charlie is a son in the 1910 household S433 and in the obituary S1633. Added to the family tree on 10 October 2026

Evidence: The index of Texas death certificate 49198 gives his father as Frank Kretchmar (S1646); Charlie is a son in the 1910 household (S433) and in his father’s obituary (S1633). Weak or missing: The index shows no mother, so no record read names Lena Landrock as his mother; she is entered as the best guess because she is his father’s only known wife. Only the index was read, not the certificate image. Not yet confirmed. Know more? Confirm or correct this →

Weak or missing
What is weak or missing: the index shows no mother, so no record read names Lena Landrock as his mother; she is entered in the family tree as the best guess because she is his father’s only known wife. The certificate image would settle it. Know more? Use “Add to this record”.

Compiled for the Proeger family

Living adults appear by name and relationship, with the year only: no full date of birth and no home town on any page that search engines index, and a living person’s own page is kept out of search engines. Minors appear by name only — no date of birth, no birth year, no age, no school, no place, no address, no other identifying detail. A minor may be named and may appear in a family photograph; nothing further about them is published. Where it is not established whether someone is an adult or a minor, the minor rule applies.
