Research status

Research status: PROBABLE as the mother of Julia (Lone) Selland, on the 1857 Røldal marriage register, read by eye from the image. Added 4 October 2026

Evidence: The 1857 Røldal marriage register, read by eye from the image, gives Pige Siri Larsdatter of Kvamen in Suldal, 21, daughter of Lars Nilsen, marrying Ole Nilsen of Lone; the 1870 baptism of Gyri at Lone names her as the mother. Weak or missing: Her daughter Gyri has not yet been shown by a US record to be Julia (Lone) Selland; her own birth at Kvamen is taken from the marriage age and a baptism entry not yet cited here by source number. Compiled for the Proeger family

Living adults appear by name and relationship, with the year only: no full date of birth and no home town on any page that search engines index, and a living person’s own page is kept out of search engines. Minors appear by name only — no date of birth, no birth year, no age, no school, no place, no address, no other identifying detail. A minor may be named and may appear in a family photograph; nothing further about them is published. Where it is not established whether someone is an adult or a minor, the minor rule applies.
