The three research tags below are the whole point of the exercise: they say what a document proves, what the weight of evidence suggests, and what nobody has found yet. A fifth, added on 13 September 2026, marks biological evidence: a DNA result is not a document, and it is not testimony either. Confirmed Mrs. Kate Temple Britain, white, widowed, housewife, born 21 January 1873 in Dallas County, Texas; died 28 November 1945 at the Hamilton Sanitarium, Hamilton, Texas, aged 72 years 10 months 7 days; father James Wright, born Tennessee; mother Lucy Brooks, born Tennessee. Informant Mrs. Ruth Harris, Hamilton. Buried at Gentry’s Mill, Texas, 30 November 1945. The informant knew Kate, not necessarily her parents. Her 1878 will entry reads “Kate Templeton Wright” (S84).
- S1642Obituary of Mrs. D. E. Coffman — Abilene Daily Reporter, 7 December 1934, p. 15. Read from the newspaper text (OCR); the page images are not yet read by eye. Born 23 October 1859 at Dallas; married D. E. Coffman on 27 October 1878; settled in Taylor County in 1880. Five children named: J. D., J. Frank, J. Lee and D. C. Coffman, and Mrs. L. L. Ashley. “An only brother”, J. B. Wright of Potosi; “an only sister”, Mrs. O. D. Britton of Hamilton. Funeral at the Dudley Church of Christ on 8 December 1934, after an illness of five days. The paper says she died “Friday morning” (7 December); her death certificate, read from the image, says 6 December at 7:20 p.m. (S81), and the certificate is kept.
