How to read this record
Every claim is tagged
Most family trees flatten everything into the same confident typeface. This one does not.
The three research tags below are the whole point of the exercise: they say what a document
proves, what the weight of evidence suggests, and what nobody has found yet. A fourth marks
what the family stated directly, where no document has been retrieved at all — it is kept
separate on purpose and is never quietly promoted to confirmed. A fifth, added on
13 September 2026, marks biological evidence: a DNA result is not a document, and it is not
testimony either. Two further labels mark where this page withholds information
rather than lacking it.
ConfirmedAttested by a document that was actually retrieved and read — a census sheet, a
government index, a grave marker, a family-written obituary.
ProbableStrongly supported but not nailed down: a user-contributed tree, a masked index field,
or a chain of consistent circumstances. Believable, not proven.
Not foundSearched for and not located. This is a statement about the search, not about the
person — the record may well exist somewhere unsearched.
Family testimonySupplied by the family and recorded on their word — no document has been retrieved for
it. Note the diamond rather than the dot: this is provenance, not proof, and it stands
apart from the three record tags above S24.
DNA evidenceBiological evidence consistent with a claim. It corroborates origins; it does
not by itself establish a person or a link. Note the bar rather than a dot or a diamond:
no DNA result on this page is ever counted as confirmed, because no document
was read for it S46.
Living — withheldThe person is living. By the privacy rule for this page, name and relationship are
shown, and at most a year the family has already published. Full dates of birth, ages,
places of residence and record identifiers are held back.
Research in progressA branch that is actively being worked on. The node exists in the structure so the
shape of the family is honest; the detail is simply not in yet.

S184 names her mother “Eva Margaretha geb. Renk”. The 1808 marriage date itself is still an index row

- S184Langenburg (Württemberg) baptismal register, 1847, entry 30. Ancestry record 14762676. Read from the image at full resolution, 22 September 2026. Baptised "Sibÿlla Mina", born 3 November 1847 between 10 and 11 at night, baptised 21 November. Father Georg Leonhard Kochendörfer, Bürger in Gerabronn, cooper (Küfer) in Langenburg; mother Eva Margaretha geb. Renk. 🔑 Minnie's parents on an original register. The next fetch is the Langenburg Familienregister (1834 volume), f. 279. The status of [S124] is not changed here.
- S443Württemberg, Germany, Lutheran Parish Registers — Wallhausen, marriages 1813, no. 1: Georg Andreas Renk and Margaretha Barbara Seibold, 29 January 1813. Ancestry record 14293437. Image examined, read 25 September 2026. Confirmed Georg Andreas Renk, born 27 April 1776, son of Georg Michael Renk, mason, and Maria Barbara, “widower of the late Maria Margaretha geb. Zins”, marries on 29 January 1813 Margaretha Barbara Seibold, born 1784 at Michelbach an der Lücke. The original register, not an index row. It is his second marriage, and it shows his first wife, Maria Margaretha Zins, died between Eva Margaretha's birth in January 1809 and January 1813. The bride's relatives and the pastor named in the entry are not kin and are not entered.
- S444Württemberg, Germany, Lutheran Parish Registers — Gerabronn, marriages 1837, no. 5: Georg Leonhard Kochendörfer and Eva Margaretha Renk, 29 November 1837. Ancestry record 914646708. Image examined, read 25 September 2026. Confirmed Georg Leonhard Kochendörfer, master cooper (Büttnermeister), born at Gerabronn 1 March 1811, son of Johann Georg Martin Heinrich Kochendörfer and Eva Barbara, marries on 29 November 1837 Eva Margaretha, born at Wallhausen 25 January 1809, daughter of Georg Andreas Renk, innkeeper and master baker at Wallhausen, and the late … Margaretha geb. Zins. The register image, read in place of the index rows cited before. Ancestry's index gives her birth as 15 January and her mother as “Eva Margareta Renk”; the image reads 25 January and Zins. It appears to call the mother Eva Margaretha, where the 1813 register (S443) says Maria Margaretha; the 1813 entry, made by her own husband's parish three years after her death, is followed here. The groom's mother's surname is only partly legible.
